Continuing to Pay it Forward
The AJO Forever Foundation strives to help as many people as we can that are facing an epilepsy or seizure disorder diagnosis. Through our fundraising events, campaigns, merchandise sales, and Erie Gives, we are able to provide assistance in travel costs (gas cards, hotel accommodations).
Additionally we are able to provide, at no charge (or low cost) epilepsy monitors and detection devices such as the Sami Alert Monitor, and the Empatica embrace for those who otherwise cannot afford the device. Consideration for this program requires a letter from your neurologist or doctor confirming an epilepsy diagnoses and a letter demonstrating financial need.
Twice a year we also provide grants towards service animals, those grants can only be made payable to a 501(c)3 organization, and do not exceed $500.
Every spring, we also award thousands of dollars to Erie County aspiring nurses though our scholarship program. If you are interested in this program, please see your guidance counselor, or contact the Erie Community Foundation for more information.
